Our initial focus will be on the GCSE Core Subjects of:
Maths, 

English Language, 

English Literature and 

Sciences 
(either single, double, or triple science)
This will be extended as the programme expands to cover more GCSE subjects 
and ‘A’ Level ones as well.

We spend time getting to know you and your students so we can specifically design our teaching plans to meet your needs and theirs. Our approach is driven by our passion to see every young person fulfil their potential and varies depending on circumstances and the individual.

Our own “mix, match and motivate” methodology addresses your needs and expectations and those of your students by blending many different types of established, reputable teaching approaches and experiences to deliver learning designed around the individual.

One thing we truly value and can expertly provide is the dynamic small group teaching environment. We are passionate about engaging and inspiring our students so our small group sessions offer tailored, well defined, stretching and challenging offering individual and team opportunities to learn.

This allows students to work in and from their comfort zones so they are challenged and stretched while being encouraged and nurtured, bringing both educational and social progress at the same time.

We use our own tried and tested “mix, match and motivate”, in depth, flexible learning methods to:
inspire and build the confidence and competence to succeed;
  • create stimulating, challenging yet non-threatening learning environments;
  • motivate and encourage students to actively participate and learn;
  • build independence, presentation, verbalisation and communication skills;
  • build camaraderie, mutual support and team working;
  • use hands-on tasks and learning by doing and discovery to reinforce the learning;
  • provide formal and informal opportunities for in depth, immediate feedback;
  • create situations where students must positively socially interact; and 
  • give students the encouragement and confidence to fully participate and learn.
We cover the National Curriculum specialising in Mathematics, English (Language and Literature) and Combined Sciences.

Our Courses
General details

Days and times of our courses may vary as we will be following current Covid-19 restrictions.

Our courses, normally, run for 10 sessions of approximately an hour - either consecutively, Monday to Friday or weekly or mixture depending on type / time of course. Session times can vary slightly depending on when the natural end of learning practice is reached. Each course focuses on particular aspects of the subject area. The cost per course of 10 sessions is £250. There is a £50 non refundable deposit, unless the course is cancelled by Minerva.

We also offer “Booster” courses. Each course, normally, 4 x 2 hour sessions using our project based individual learning vehicles. They run for 4 days over Monday to Friday, usually in the mornings. The cost is £200 per “Booster” course. There is a £50 non refundable deposit, unless the course is cancelled by Minerva.

Our courses are intensive, challenging and fun without being overbearing. To reinforce learning our individual teaching plans include homework as an essential part of what we do. 

 As the number of places on each course is limited to six, pre booking essential.
